Terms and Conditions
Welcome to **Music Needs Podcast & Music Equipment Hire**. By renting our equipment, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully to ensure a smooth rental experience.
1. Rental Period
- The rental period starts on the agreed **collection/pick-up date** and ends on the **return date** specified in the rental agreement.
- Late returns will incur additional charges per day as per the rental rates.
2. Payment and Deposit
- A security deposit** is required at the time of collection. This deposit is refundable upon the safe return of the equipment.
- The full rental fee must be paid before or at the time of collection unless agreed otherwise.
- Payment can be made via EFT, cash, or any other agreed payment method.
3. Equipment Condition and Usage
- The renter is responsible for inspecting the equipment upon collection to ensure it is in good working condition.
- The equipment must be returned in the same condition as it was rented, with all accessories (e.g., cables, stands).
- Damage or loss of equipment during the rental period is the sole responsibility of the renter. Costs for repair or replacement will be deducted from the security deposit or invoiced separately if the costs exceed the deposit.
4. Collection and Delivery
- Equipment can be collected and returned during business hours: **9:00 AM to 4:00 PM**, Monday to Friday.
- Delivery and collection services are available upon request and may incur additional charges.
5. Cancellations and Refunds
- Cancellations made **at least 24 hours** before the collection date will receive a full refund.
- Cancellations made **within 24 hours** of the collection date may incur a **cancellation fee** of up to 20% of the total rental amount.
6. Insurance and Liability
- Optional insurance is available for R50.00/week, covering accidental damage up to R500.00.
- Insurance does not cover loss or theft of the equipment.
- Music Needs is not liable for any losses or damages resulting from equipment malfunctions during the rental period.
7. Customer Responsibilities
- The renter must use the equipment only for its intended purpose (e.g., podcasting, voice-over, music recording).
- Unauthorized modifications to the equipment are strictly prohibited.
- The renter must notify Music Needs immediately if any issues arise during the rental period.
8. Termination of Agreement
- Music Needs reserves the right to terminate the rental agreement if the terms are violated.
- The renter must return the equipment immediately upon termination.
